Days 14-15: The Trip Home

After two weeks away, we were facing a long journey back. This photo from Penn Station says it all:


Cab from hotel to Penn Station. Amtrak to Union Station in Chicago. Walk to Metra train station. Train to Des Plaines. Walk to Ed's aunt's house where we left the car. Drive to Waverly from Chicago. We left our hotel shortly before 3 PM on Wednesday. We arrived in Waverly on Thursday at 8 PM. Yuck.
