Day 8 - Boston, Portsmouth, and Lewiston

This morning, the aforementioned J and S picked us up from our hotel outside of Boston and we hit the road for Maine. We stopped in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a harbor town with an assortment of cool shops and restaurants. We had a late breakfast at a place called The Friendly Toast, which we recommend for its kitschiness and large pancakes. Jimmy got major points for ordering (and enjoying) the 'King Cakes' (two banana and chocolate chip pancakes with peanut butter in between). He also tried a mojito milkshake, which apparently didn't turn out as well. It was a fun afternoon of walking, shopping, and showing Ed what salt water tastes like.

We rolled into Lewiston, Maine by around 4 PM. We'll be here until Saturday visiting our friends Anna and Len, who also happen to rule. It's been a great time catching up so far. While there won't be any baseball games for a few days, there will be good food, good drink, and loads of fun checking out Maine. That's all for now.

I am filled with envy. Anna & Len are the best hosts ever. (Chris says he also is filled with envy.)
