One more overdue post...
Getting to the ballpark was pretty easy. We parked fairly close and had a short walk. When you're knocking off several parks on one trip, convenience can't be overvalued.
Here's a funky panorama of the view from our sweet seats.
We were close enough to have a decent view of Chad Billingsley in all his glory.
The park looked cool at night. The rocks weren't the most exciting outfield bleacher feature, but were strangely the best of our So Cal tour (by far).
The game was the best of the trip, too. It was the so-called 'freeway series' between the Angels and Dodgers. When the Angels got a hit, the crowd cheered. When the Dodgers got a hit, the crowd cheered. It was a great atmosphere. While there wasn't anything super awesome about Angel Stadium, it was above-average in its overall above-averageness. Does that make sense? What I'm trying to say is that it was pretty good in just about every category.
Now that I'm all caught up on posting photos, who knows when Ed and I will get around to posting an updated stadium ranking. A good bet is that it'll have to wait until next summer's trip(s).
